For example, Cadmold recently produced a complicated four cavity mold for a HomeLite leaf blower in four weeks. "Conventionally that would take between 12 and 14 weeks" says Mike Britt, vice president of engineering at the Sarasota, Florida based company. "Companies come to us because we have the technology to produce the more complex surfaced molds," explains Britt. "...they sent a representative down on friday and while he was here, I took a file in over the modem, as he stood beside me, I produced the core and cavity in Pro/Engineer, then started producing to paths using Pro/Mfg functionality. The next morning he came in and we had the core already machined."
